Jackobi's Newest Toy...
The other day I really needed to get some things done around the house and Jackobi's normal toys were NOT entertaining her. So I decided to give her some random things from the diaper bag ( a diaper, a bottle of lotion etc...) as her new 'toys' that would entertain her for a little while... when I came back in the room she had pulled her diaper on top of her head like a hat - it was SO CUTE! I had to snap a picture before she pulled it off. I'm sure this is one of those pictures she'll hate me for when she's a teenager, but oh well!
Jackobi's First Football Game!
Well, last night we ventured out to the Minico v. Century football game. We figured we had better go to one of the first games before it got too cold for Jackobi and Friday was the perfect night! Nate went with his dad and brothers at the beginning of the game and Jackobi and I met them there after Half Time. Jackobi really liked the game at first, although I think she was more excited about the band than the actual game! It didn't take her too long to decide that she wasn't really into it. When Minico would get a touchdown, they would fire off a cannon (it was actually REALLY LOUD!) and I think that pretty much was the icing on the cake for her. It was Jackobi meltdown after that! She really didn't do too bad especially since we kept her up past her bedtime, but all in all ... I think she likes baseball better!!
Twin Falls Temple Dedication
This past weekend Nate and I had the opportunity to attend the Twin Falls Temple for the dedication. It was amazing! We got there a few hours early to wait in line and ended up getting really good seats! Only members of the Stake Presidency etc. were able to be in the Celestial Room where the actual dedication took place, but we were in the next room down and even got to see President Monson go by on his way in and out of the dedication. There was beautiful music by the choir and a few really good talks, then we heard from President Monson, which is always a treat! Next, President Henry B. Eyring gave a talk and the dedicatory prayer. We're so grateful to have this once in a lifetime opportunity!! It was such an amazing and wonderful experience that we'll never forget!
Below is a link to a video of the cornerstone dedication with President Monson; I thought it was neat and thought I'd share!

Happy Birthday Justin!
My brother Justin turned the BIG 30 this year so we decided to throw a little party out at the river this past weekend. It was a great day and we ended up having LOTS of people show up to wish him a Happy Birthday! My sister, Sara, and her boyfriend David even made a surprise trip home for the day. It was great to have the whole family together (which doesn't happen very often!). Happy Birthday Justin!! We hope you had a great day!
A Half Year Already! She's 6 Month's Old!
Jackobi turned 6 months old last Sunday and we can't believe how quickly the first half year has gone! She's so much fun right now and is full of personality! She talks and smiles ALL of the time and has become very content just playing on a blanket with her toys. She's mastered eating solid foods (as her chubby legs will prove!) -- her favorites are bananas and pears. She's getting her first teeth too!! Her bottom two teeth have started to poke up through her gums...we can see them barely, but they're working their way through! She's a tough little girl and is doing really well with it though (hopefully I'm not jinxing myself by saying that!) Jackobi is sitting up like a pro and tries SO HARD to sit up herself when I lay her down...it's pretty cute! She's become more curious and will purposely tip herself forward to try and get to whatever it is she wants to play with (usually it's the remote control, but Nate won't give it up!). She's not crawling yet, but kicks her legs pretty vigorously trying to figure out how to get herself around. She has SO MUCH energy and is our little jumping bean for sure! She has a little bouncy toy that she LOVES and even when we pull her out of her toy her legs keep going, bounce, bounce, bounce!! Life since February has been a whirlwind of change and we're so happy to have Jackobi in our lives! We love her SO much and can't wait to see her continue to grow!
...I couldn't help posting a few more pictures...
Fun in the Pool!!
We bought Jackobi the cutest little pool the other day and finally had the chance to use it! It was so fun to watch her splash and play! She was pretty cute, at first I think she was a little confused since she's only ever been in the water at bath time ... so the whole swimsuit thing was a little weird for her -- she kept pulling at it when I first put it on her, but once she hit the water -- she was really excited! We can't wait until next summer when she can enjoy her pool even more!
Her First Nikes!
So Jackobi has TINY feet and it's been really hard to find shoes that actually fit her feet without falling right off...she's just about 6 months old and we were REALLY happy to find her very first pair of Nike's! (Nate was more particular about her first tennis shoes than I was, if you can believe it! ....) They're SO stinking cute on her! She was pretty funny, we let her go barefoot quite a bit so she's not really used to having shoes on her feet and she loves to chew on her bare feet anyways, so naturally she had to explore the new things on her feet...she even tried to gnaw on them a few times! Anyways, we got some fun pictures ... so I thought I'd share!
Afternoons at the Park!!
My brother Justin had a little girl, Anna Leigh, just 2 months after Jackobi was born. He gets her for just a couple of hours a few days a week, so when it's an 'Anna Day' as I like to call it, we love to take our girls to the park for lunch. We've had lots of fun meeting my mom with our girls for a few hours. And I must say the girls LOVE it outside! It's been fun to watch them grow and learn to play with each other. It's funny how babies seem to love other little kids...we have to watch them close because they usually get really excited and nose dive towards one another, it's cute! I'm really excited that Jackobi will have a cousin so close in age, I'm sure they'll be best buds!
