Nate's Annual Campout

Every year around Nate's birthday he and a bunch of the guys go camping for the weekend. Usually they go and get snowed on and freeze most of the time, but this year they had great weather! Nate, Jared, Jason and Bubba all went up Friday afternoon and their friend Travis came up later that night. From what Nate's told me they had a pretty good time and some great dutch oven cooking! Jared and Nate decided to take their dogs this year and he said they had a blast swimming in the lakes (the dogs, not the guys...) Here are a few pictures from their trip ...

Happy Birthday Nate -- The BIG 2-6!!

Happy Birthday Nate! Today was Nate's 26th birthday and it was a really good day! We both had to work until early afternoon, but once we got home the celebration began! :) Nate, Jackobi and I had some yummy chocolate cupcakes (well, Jackobi didn't ... but I'm sure she really wanted a taste!) Then we opened some presents, Jackobi really liked that Nate let her help. Like most baby's the boxes were her favorite part! After that we headed over to Nate's parents house for some good ol' Doc's pizza and more presents.

After we visited with Nate's family for a little bit we headed off to the Minico v. Burley game. It wasn't a very good game. Minico is pretty good this year and Burley isn't so we left with 4 minutes left in the game. Minico's 2nd string was in and Burley hadn't even scored yet. The game started off really windy, but by Half Time calmed down a lot and turned out being pretty enjoyable. Jared and Ashley met up with us there so even thought the game wasn't that entertaining, it was nice to have some good friends there! Jackobi is pretty shy, but I think Ashley is one of her favorite people now! Jackobi let Ash hold her the last part of the game (which is NOT typical!) and was such a happy camper!

That was pretty much it for our day, I think Nate had a pretty good birthday. I'm so happy that I married such a wonderful man. He is such a good husband and daddy to Jackobi. I'm so thankful that he is a preisthood holder and all the blessings that it brings into our lives. He is such a good example and I really love how involved he loves to be in his family and brother's lives. I feel truly blessed to have him in my life and can't wait to see what our future holds! Thanks Nate for all you do for us and our family -- we love you Nate! Happy Birthday!

Anna & Jackobi's Play Date!

This week Anna came over for a couple of hours to play with Jackobi. They've both gotten so big and have lots of personality so it's fun to watch them interact with one another! Jackobi LOVED to play/tickle Anna's feet -- Anna didn't know quite what to think, but thought it was funny because Jackobi got such a kick out of it. Jackobi is such an energetic little girl right now and loves to pound her hands on her toys (especially the noisy ones) Anna would just stare at Jackobi and didn't know quite what to think, but after a little bit would just grin and laugh. They're too much fun right now, I'm so excited to watch them grow up together!

She's Such a Big Girl! 7 Month's Old!

Jackobi hit the 7 month mark last Wednesday and it still amazes me how quickly she's growing and learning. I took her to the doctor last week and she weighed in at 19 pounds 11 1/2 ounces and was 27" tall!! I knew she was heavy, but 20 pounds, whew! She has learned to really like her tummy (for a little while at least!) and can flip to it pretty quick if she finds something interesting to play with. She's beginning to try and crawl. She has SO MUCH energy so I know we're going to have our hands full when she finally figures it out! She's such a big girl and has figured out how to clap (as you can see in this picture!) it's so cute! She's been doing it for a little while now, but has figured out how to make the sound now too (it's so cute!) Jackobi is such a happy and sweet girl -- she tries to give hugs and loves to play with anything, measuring cups are her new favorite toy! We love her & can't wait to see what the next months bring!

Football @ the Holt

Last Saturday 4 football teams come from California to battle against some of the best football teams in Idaho @ ISU's Holt Arena. Nate really wanted to go so we headed up to Pocatello for the day to watch some games! Minico played the first game and game out full of steam! They actually won their game against Colfax California 28-6. After the first game Nate, Jason and JP all went golfing. Even after an entire baseball season JP whipped up on Nate! (I'm sure he's real happy I'm letting the whole world know too!) While the guys golfed I went and saw some of my friends that live in Poky and went shopping. Once the boys were done golfing Nate, Jason and I met up with my friend Samantha and went to dinner and then to the last football game. Pocatello's team, Highland played Grant Union. Grant Union is the #88 high school in the nation and has more former football players in the NFL than any other high school in the nation! It was a great game. Highland's quaterback just signed with Stanford so each team had some talent! All in all, for a sports filled weekend it was great!

Sammy & Jackobi ... Jackobi actually really liked Samantha, but was pretty tired when we took this picture!

Addyson & Jackobi

My friend Sara lives in Pocatello and had her little girl Addyson Shea 3 months before I had Jackobi. It was so fun having such a good friend to go through pregnancy with. Even better our little girls will get to grow up together! This weekend Jackobi and I made a trip up to Pocatello to visit our friends -- it's so funny, Addy is such a cute little girl and when I say little - I mean little! Jackobi looks like a giant sitting next to her, you'd never know she's 3 months younger! They had fun playing together and Jackobi was excited to get her hands on some new/different toys! It was great to catch up with Sara and watch our girls play!

End of Summer BBQ - Welcome Home Jared!

Jared left to play baseball just a week after Jackobi was born and is FINALLY home! Nate's glad to have his best friend back in town and Ashley is even more excited to have her fiance home! Less than 3 months until their big day! To celebrate Jared coming home we had a BBQ @ Ashley's with along with our friends Gina and Dusty. It was a good night, Jackobi was really shy at first and didn't know what to think about the 'new' people, but by the end of the night was a happy camper! Gina's little girl Mylee is a few months older than Jackobi and it was fun to watch them interact together. Kenzie was really cute too -- she liked to hold Jackobi and when we played games was the official dice roller and time keeper, she was pretty funny! We had some yummy food and played lots of Scattegories. It's really fun to have another couple to do things with!

Labor Day Weekend

Things have been pretty busy for us the last couple of weeks. Although I couldn't tell you exactly what we've been doing -- it's felt like we've been go...go...go!!

Over Labor Day weekend Nate's whole family was home. Since all the boys were there it was a good weekend to get started on the cover for Nate's parents new deck. With all of them there things got done pretty quickly. We had to laugh though, because it didn't take Bubba long to figure out that if he was holding or playing with Jackobi he was able to weasel his way out of working. He usually likes to take her, but it was funny because we all knew his real reason for wanting to fulfill his 'uncle' duties!

Here's the boys hard at work:

And here's Bubba watching the work be done... one week at college and he's already figured things out!!

It was also a great weekend because Nate's sister Camille was home visiting from Spokane. Jackobi LOVES her Auntie Camille...they had fun on the swing ... playing the piano ... and just playing. Jackobi didn't mind the extra attention that's for sure! Camille also gave Jackobi her VERY FIRST present that was actually wrapped...it was so fun to watch her tear open the package (there will be pictures to come, they're on JoEllyn's camera!) She was so excited!

All in all, things have been good -- busy as usual. Nate's working lots, Jackobi is growing like crazy and I'm just trying to keep up with both of them!
