Mya started out coloring on the pumpkins, but later decided that the whole carving bit looked like fun ...
PuMpkIN CarViNG
We got to carve pumpkins this past weekend and it was fun!! I forgot how much I DONT like 'gutting' them ... but luckily Mya really like it -- so she helped with them all! It was her first time actually carving pumpkins (she's only 3) so it was a fun experience for her! (and I didn't mind one bit it was her pulling the slimy goop out instead of me!) We kept them pretty simple, but it was a fun/festive thing to do since Halloween is so close!
Quick Trip to Boise
When Sara was home we had the chance to pack up and head to Boise to visit Sara! It was great to spend time with her and her adorable daughter Emaiya ... we had lots of fun! She lives in Downtown Boise and across from a beautiful park ... we had to go to the park and feed the ducks & geese; it was fun even though when you were done feeding them they would chase you wanting more food! It was such a beautiful fall day, it was nice to see all of the fall colors since we missed out on them because of our freak snow storm!
A Visit from Sara!
I love it when my sister comes home! We have so much fun and it's great to catch up! This past week Sara came home & we had such a great time! We were able to do lots, including going to the pumpkin patch again! Believe it or not, she hasn't seen one in Vegas yet ... so we thought we'd better go! Jackobi still hasn't decided if she likes the pumpkin patch, but she sure liked it when we let her and Annaston ride in the wheel barrow!
Lots of fun! We had fun carving the pumpkins too (I'll post pictures later) ... it was great to have her come and visit for almost a week! I'm glad it's getting close to the holidays because it's so great being with family!

My Little Computer Nerd ...
So Jackobi is always trying to work her way over to our laptop and pound on the keyboard, but we'll never really let her. The other day when Bubba was home he let her pound on the desktop keyboard and she absolutely loved it. Since she liked it so much, Nate's dad decided she needed her very own keyboard. We laughed when he said he was going to get her one, but he wasn't kidding! You're looking at Jackobi's latest toy ... her own laptop!! She loves it, but mostly when she rips a key off or when we turn it on (yes, it's a real, working laptop ... she even has her own login ... ) but then she'll pound on the keys and it makes all sorts of noises. We just think it's funny that out of all her toys, she likes cardboard boxes and laptops ... funny girl!
PUMPKIN PATCH!!
Today was such a beautiful day -- nearly 70 degrees, quite a change from the huge snow storm we had just a week ago! Since it was so nice out, Nate and I decided to take Jackobi to the pumpkin patch!! Our timing wasn't the greatest and Jackobi was a little on the sleepy side so we had to take some pictures outside at our house after she had a nap, but it was really fun!! She really liked all of the colors and studied the pumpkins really hard. It was funny to watch her touch the stem of the pumpkin and pull her hand back just as quick as she reached out. They felt pretty funny to her! It will be interesting to see what she thinks of them once they're all carved and lit up! This is just one of the many things I love about Fall!!
She's a funny girl!
Well ... this just goes to show that we don't need to buy neat, fancy toys to please our daughter! She was in a 'I don't want toys ... give me attention' mood today when I needed to get some things done -- so I put her in her diaper box and she was SO HAPPY for like 45 minutes! It's pretty funny what keeps babies happy!
In the past I've been hesitant to let Jackobi just 'have at it' with her food. I guess I always get this image in my head (like you always see in the movies) of the baby throwing spaghetti all across the room. She holds her own bottle and eats little finger foods by herself, but until this week I've never let her feed herself baby food. I read somewhere that allowing your baby to feed themselves helps build their confidence and independence ... so I let her be a 'Big Girl' ... she LOVED IT!! And was actually pretty good! She knew just what to do! She missed a few times and hit her nose as you can tell in this picture. I made the mistake of laughing when she did it -- so then she decided she'd to it because it was funny. She caught on pretty quick!!
On a side note, we learned that when Nate has the hiccups ... Jackobi laughs hysterically! It was so funny! I guess she was happy that finally someone else besides her had those darn hiccups!!

Our October Snow Storm!!
Well, we when the weather said we were supposed to get snow this weekend we had NO IDEA what was in store!! We watched the snow pile up as it snowed ALL day long yesterday and decided to venture out this morning to see how things 'measured' up. Boy oh boy did we get snowed on!! The picture of Nate and Jackobi above doesn't do it justice -- remember Nate is 6' 3" and it's up to his knees! Jackobi liked the snow, but didn't know quite what to think. She stared at it pretty hard trying to figure it out.
Since we were expecting just a skiff of snow when Nate took the dogs for a 4-wheeler ride Friday he just left it parked out back ... well ... this is what we got!! He wiped the snow off of the front of it to show how high it piled up! It's almost as tall as Jackobi!
Bundled up and all ready to go! Jackobi needs to grown into her coat a little bit, but hopefully it will be at least another month or so before it's cold enough to wear it again!

8 Months! Where Does the Time Go!
Well, it seems like every time I turn around Jackobi is yet ANOTHER month older!! She officially hit the 8 month mark today. I've been waiting and waiting for her to start crawling, but she hasn't quite got it figured out yet! But somehow she manages to move her way around and get to the things she's SUPPOSED to stay out of. I know before too long we'll have our hands totally full with her! She scoots, rolls, stretches and flops her way to everything! (Especially the laptop and remote control ...) She's such a good eater and has distinguished between the foods she likes and does not like. She's so funny and does NOT like veggies. She'll turn her head as to almost 'snub' them when I try to feed her. But fruits are another story! I can hardly shovel spoonful's into her mouth fast enough before she's ready for another taste! Her favorite right now is blueberry ... yum!! She also really likes bread and anything we'll give her off of our plates. She still really loves it outside, but with the weather quickly changing to crisp fall, we don't get to go outside much anymore -- hopefully there will be another warm week or two left! A couple of other things Jackobi has learned or does that is funny ... she loves to tip her head sideways to look at things from a different angle; if we're holding her she'll lean her body out sideways to get a different look, it's funny ... we play 'Where'd Jackobi Go' (our version of peek-a-boo) and she goes crazy trying to rip the blanket down to see us, she loves it! ... I can't just leave her in her crib to play for a minute anymore -- she pulls herself right up to see where I'm going and what's going on ... she definately demands attention and has learned how to 'growl' if she doesn't approve of what Nate or I am doing ... one of her favorite things is CHIPPER (for those of you who haven't met our crazy dog -- he's SO HYPER!!) when we take her out to see him her legs start kicking so fast in approval ... she even gets excited when we let her look at him through the window ...
All in all our little girl is growing and learning so fast!! She is such a happy girl and loves to smile and laugh ... she's so much fun!! We love her SO SO much!

Happy Birthday Mom!!
HAPPY HAPPY Birthday MOM!!
Today was my mom's birthday and I was sworn to secrecy on which birthday it was and how old she is ... so my lips are sealed! I think she had a really good day! My mom and I are super close and I rarely go a day without talking to or seeing her. Some people think it's weird, but she's one of my VERY best friends!! She's such a good example of what true patience and unconditional love are. She's taught me SO much and I feel so blessed to have her! Thank you mom for all you do -- I love you and hope you had a wonderful birthday!!
A Surprise Package for Jackobi!!
Today Nate, Jackobi and I got home to find a package on the front steps for Jackobi from her Aunt Camille! She had a lot of fun tearing the tissue paper apart and was even more excited to get her hands on the books inside! She got "Monster Tales Pumpkin Patch Party" (it's a Sesame Street book ...) and "It's the GREAT PUMPKIN, Charlie Brown" ... such cute books! Nate and I both remember LOVING the great pumpkin patch book and cartoon when we were little. Jackobi loved her daddy reading her the books (but I'm pretty sure he started reading them to her to keep her from chewing all over them! She gnaws on EVERYTHING she gets her hands on these days!!) Anyways, it was a nice treat! Thanks Camille for Jackobi's surprise!!
Jackobi 'guiltily' chewing on her book ... you can tell by that smile that she KNOWS she's NOT supposed to be doing that!! (Her daddy let's her get away with most things...)
So he gave in and decided to read it to her ... She LOVES it when she gets to read a book!
Happy Anniversary to US!!
Well, today was our 2 YEAR anniversary ... and we can't believe how quickly the last two years have gone and how much life has changed!! Things have been amazing and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us! Here are some of our favorite wedding pictures ... it was fun to reminisce and go through these again!!

4 Wheeler Rides!
Well, Jackobi LOVES things that make noise or are noisy and the 4-Wheeler was no exception! The other day Nate gave her a ride and she LOVED it! She tried to start kicking her legs (that's what she does when she's excited ...) it was pretty cute! Here's a few pictures of the 4 wheeler ride ... you can tell she's just staring at the 4-Wheeler in some of them trying to figure out what's going on.
Happy Birthday Becky!
Happy Birthday Becky!!!
Well, I'm a few days late on this post, but wanted to make sure and wish Becky a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Becky was one of my very first friends when I moved up to Pocatello for college and we've been best friends ever since! She is such a great person and friend and I know would do just about anything for anyone! I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful circle of friends! Becky I hope you had a wonderful birthday! You really deserve it!
The Soon To Be Price Family ...
Since we had taken some pictures of just Jared and Ashley they wanted to get some pictures with Ashley's daughter Kenzie in them ... we got some really good pictures and it was fun to see this cute family all dressed up! Kenzie was pretty cute, she was really good at getting her picture taken especially if we let her pick the best spot...(or at least think she did!)
Jared & Ashley's Engagements...
So the last couple of weekends I've gone out with Jared and Ashley and we've taken some engagement pictures for their wedding announcements ... Nate and I are so excited for them to get married in December! They're perfect for each other! Here's a few of my favorite pictures shots ...
Nate came with us while we were on our picture taking spree ... he's his 'lesson' to Jared on what a good engagement picture should look like ... (I didn't break it to him that if our engagements remotely resembled this ... we would not have gotten married!!)
And last is our own version of 'Where's Waldo' ... we totally didn't plan this, but thought it was hilarious when we found our hidden visitor in this picture ... look close!

A Few More Camping Pictures...
Kenzie's Soccer Game
Monday night Kenzie had a soccer game -- Ashely and I took the girls a little early and the guys met up with us a little later. It was so fun to watch her play! She's got so much energy and I swear was the only kid running the ENTIRE time! She was tired by the time it was all said and done! It's so funny because when you get a bunch of 5-6 year old's playing soccer -- they all swarm around the ball and follow it up and down the field, it was really cute! Kenzie's team ended up winning so that was nice too. After the game we were all starving so we came out to our house to eat and hang out the rest of the night. We had a fun night and will hopefully be able to catch a couple more of her games before the season is over!
