Swim Time!

While we were in Boise we thought we'd try out the hotel swimming pool and see how Jackobi liked it! Well, judging by the pictures, I'm sure you can tell she HATED it! In her defense, the guys said the water was REALLY cold and it had already been a long day. So maybe we'll have to try again some other day!

You can tell from the picture of Bubba and Nate that the water is quite chilly!

Totally traumatized by the entire pool experience, she wouldn't let Nate or Bubba hold her until we were safely back into the hotel room.

Bucks Bags Tournament

This past weekend was the Bucks Bags Tournament up in Boise. Nate, Jackobi and I went up for the games Friday and Saturday and had a blast. Jackobi loved being outside and being able to run around in the grass (she really liked the dirt and rocks best though!) Casey pitched against Bishop Kelly and did really well. It was fun to go and watch!

Jackobi and her Uncle Bubba ...

She had some pretty happening shades ... I'm still surprised how long she'll actually keep them on!

Jackobi and her cousin Lauren. She really liked Lauren, especially since she let her play with her phone!

All in all, we had a great trip! Jackobi continually surprises me with how good she is! We had a couple of really long days and she was in a good mood almost the entire time!

She's a funny girl ...

Jackobi has been fighting a cold this week, but has still found her way into some mischief! Nate left the refrigerator open for literally seconds and she managed to step up into the fridge to get a better look. She kept pointing and trying to grab her string cheese through the clear drawers. Funny what amuses kids!

Another thing Jackobi finds pretty cool is putting my old sunglasses on and walking around the house. Every day this week she's gone to find them and puts them on (hence the upside down look) and strolls around. Usually they fall down and rest on her upper lip, but she doesn't seem to mind! Such a stylish girl!

Jackobi is pretty obsessed with the dish washer lately. She'll be playing in the living room and can hear me when I open it to load or unload the dishes and come RUNNING in to "help" . This week, I let her 'have at it' with her dishes. It occupied her for a good 30 minutes! The down side to this ... she's learned how to push the bottom tray in and tries to climb on the door... boo! Nate's mom must know from experience, but said if kids crawl on the dishwasher, it will break and is expensive to fix! Looks like Jackobi won't be on dishes duty anytime soon!

... and BASEBALL season begins ... (yeah!!)

This weekend was perfect (although not typical) weather to start off the baseball season! Minico faced Madison in a double header Saturday and let's just say we are SO HAPPY baseball season is finally here! Jackobi LOVES it outside and it didn't take her long to start cruising around ...

Minico ended up loosing both games, but it was still a great day to be out. Good luck this season Casey! We're really excited for many baseball games to come!!

Apparently Jackobi got the memo that we were getting beat ... :) just kidding, this is the reaction we got when we wouldn't let her run all over the place.

And I almost forgot to wish Nate's Grandma Taylor a HAPPY 80TH Birthday! She is such a great woman and a wonderful example to us. We're really blessed to have her in our lives! This fall she's going on a trip to England to celebrate (nice huh!)

Happy FOURTH Birthday Emaiya!

This past week (on the 11th) my sweet Emaiya turned FOUR YEARS OLD!! I can't even believe she's FOUR! She is one of the sweetest little girls and is so good when she plays with Jackobi! She's like her big sister! :) Since she moved to Boise we don't get to see her that much, but can't wait until the end of the month when we get to go and visit!

We love you Mya and hope you had a WONDERFUL birthday!

Botanical Gardens and FAO Schwartz

This is my LAST post from our Vegas trip, but I had to blog about the 2nd half of our trip! One of my FAVORITE places on the strip is the Botanical Gardens in the Bellagio casino. When we walked into the gardens the smell of fresh flowers was so amazing! It made me realize just how much I'm ready for SPRING!! Jackobi loved all of the bright colors too! They had some really cool displays ... I just love it there!

While we were in Vegas we couldn't deprive Jackobi of a trip to FAO Schwartz ... this is the toy stores of ALL toy stores!

This is us outside of the store, it's a gigantic trojan horse, pretty cool, huh! When we got inside, Jackobi was in TOY HEAVEN! She literally was running from shelf to shelf, so many toys ... she didn't know what to do!

I take that back, she knew just what to do ... she ripped them off the shelves like a pro!

Jackobi without hesitation would run towards the stuffed puppies, they are by far her favorite! Usually the light yellow ones, hmm... I bet you can guess why! This is her with Clifford ... he was pretty heavy for her to carry so she decided she would just lay on him!

Happy Birthday Bubba ...

Happy Birthday Bubba! You have officially been able to buy lottery tickets for a whole year now and have yet to share any winnings ... You always keep the mood light and we love it when you swing by to visit. You're such a good Uncle to Jackobi, she loves you! (especially since you didn't buy her a DUKE binky!) We hope you had a great birthday!

Blueman Group

Sara and David TOTALLY surprised us and got us tickets to the Blueman Group. It was AWESOME!! They took Jackobi during the show and spoiled her while mom and I went to the show. I didn't know what to expect at all, but it was great! Afterwards you could meet the bluemen and the band. The bluemen were still in character and were so serious ... it was kinda creepy! :) Thanks Sara and David for a great night! It was a great surprise and we had a BLAST! (even though you introduced Jack.s to caffeinated soda!)

M & M Land!!

A trip to Vegas would not be complete without a visit to M & M land! Especially now that we've got Jackobi! She loved all the bright colors!

Coke World!

Coca Cola was another place we had to stop by! We really wanted a picture with the polar bear statue, but they got rid of it! They replaced it with a person in a polar bear costume ... it totally freaked Jackobi out, so no Coca-Cola bear photos for us!! After a few close calls with glass bottles ... we decided the Coke store wasn't quite for us! Jack.s did love the red bottles ... and polar bear stuffed toys, but it's DEFINITELY NOT a baby proof store!

Welcome to Vegas!

Jackobi and I are down visitng my sister right now and I told Nate I would be sure to post lots of pictures so here is my disclaimer right off the bat! Above is my sister's casa, nice huh! This is where we stayed ... it was so nice and home-like! Thanks for letting us crash sis!

After Sara came and got us from the airport she took us to this cute little restaurant called
Panera. Panera = YUMMY! It was so good!

They had these smoothies with gigantic straws that Jackobi LOVED! I wasn't quick enough to get a picture before she accidentally dropped it on the floor :(

We're having such a great time already and can't wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store! (hopefully some more warm weather! Enjoy the snow Nate!)
