Spring has Sprung!!

Since the weather has been so nice the last week or so, Jackobi and I have really enjoyed playing outside and going to the park!! It's great to get out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air!

At the park in Rupert they have a corner full of about 100 pinwheels ... it looks so neat! Jackobi loved running through them and trying to figure out what they do!

In the little gazebo she's funny because she dances in the middle, but if she sees someone walking on the sidewalk, she pokes her little head through and starts jabbering at them...this picture she looks like she's wondering why they're not answering her back! :)

We're loving the warm weather and hope it's here to stay for awhile!

I'm so lucky to have Ashley as a friend, I seriously don't know what I'd do without her so close! She's one of the most genuine and caring people I know. She's such a good mom to Kenzie -- I can only hope that when I have a wild little 6 year old I do as good of a job as she does! I'm so glad that Jared found her, they're perfect together.

We love you Ashley and hope you have a wonderful birthday! Try not to catch the house on fire with all of those candles! (just kidding!)

Jamie and I have friends since grade school, she's such an awesome person & I'm happy we're still such great friends! (you know you're really friends if you can survive living together!)

To celebrate, along with her sisters, we're going to the Taylor Swift concert in May. I'm so excited!! Happy Birthday Jamie! I hope you've had a wonderful day!

Happy 1st Birthday Anna!

Happy Birthday Anna Leigh! Today my sweet niece turned ONE YEAR OLD!! We had a little birthday lunch at Doc's and had some yummy cake ... Anna really liked it! Mostly the frosting though!

It's so fun to watch Anna and Jackobi grow together! They have gotten so fun to watch play and interact with one another! I can't wait see watch them continue to grow!

Happy Easter!!

Easter morning! Jackobi dove right into her basket! She had lots of fun discovering the fun little treats we put inside her eggs!

She has a new found LOVE for Jellybeans! I wonder who opened the bag and snuck some out before she got to it? (NATE!!) They were EVERYWHERE! She thought it was awesome!

Partners in crime! Jackobi and Anna Leigh tried for a good 10 minutes to get into the box of Peeps ... lucky for us they didn't figure it out! We're going to have out hands full when these two grow into their mischievous ways!

Our little girl has learned pretty darn quick how great it is to have lots of aunts and uncles!! She sure loves the attention when everyone is home & gets extra spoiled!

We had such a good Easter! It's so nice that we have both of our families so close so we are able to spend time with both of them on holidays!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Happy Easter!! We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday! We had such a great Easter weekend and it started on Saturday with an Easter Egg Hunt with some friends, we were lucky enough to have the Easter Bunny show up! I was so surprised Jackobi let him give her a hug and would even let me stand next to him for a picture!

Jackobi learned pretty quick what we were trying to do ... she got really good at picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket!

We had lots of fun and were excited Jackobi liked her very FIRST Easter Egg Hunt!

Coloring Easter Eggs!!

One of my FAVORITE parts about Easter is coloring Easter Eggs! Nate's not a huge fan, so I was glad that Ashley and Kenzie wanted to come and color eggs with us this year! We had a lot of fun, although I don't think Kenzie got that the dye would dye her fingers too ... she might have spotted fingers for a while!

Thanks for coming out Ash & Kenz -- we had lots of fun!

Good Day to be a HEELS Fan!

The net has been cut and it's final ... North Carolina is the BEST team in college basketball this year!! This is good news in our house! I think it's about time one of Nate's teams started winning!

Casey's Sweet Sixteen

Happy Birthday Casey!! Casey turned the BIG 16 on Monday, we celebrated his birthday Sunday night since we're sure he has a big date lined up for Monday already (okay, the NCAA Championship game doesn't count, does it?)

We had a little present thief on our hands!! This was right before she snagged Casey's
present and hid behind his chair!

Good thing Uncle Jason was there ... come to find out, all she wanted was the bow!

I don't let Jackobi 'free frawl' with cake very often, but I guess at Grandma's house anything goes! She doesn't look too messy ... but it was ALL in her hair ... nice!

After the party festivities, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather outside!

The picture below must be of Jackobi's pout face ... she squishes her lips out -- it's pretty funny! Jason was chasing her and she was stomping around afterwards. Little attitude already!

See the panicked look on Jackobi's face? This is right before she chucked the stuffed raccoon and ran away ... I'm pretty convinced my daughter will have a long fear of stuffed raccoons and a LOVE for vibrating toy mice!! Thanks Jason!!

For the rest of you reading, you have to know that Jason tormented Jackobi with a very similar toy raccoon at his mom's house. Apparently she hasn't forgotten and still HATES raccoons! Once JoEllyn realized how much the boys liked to tease Jackobi with this raccoon she hid it. This was all right before her first birthday. So, in attempt to 'scare the crap' out of her ... Jason bought a vibrating fuzzy toy mouse for Jackobi ... and MUCH to all of our surprise -- she ADORES it!! Yep, my little girl carries a rat around with her ... nice, eh?

On another note ... he did buy her a pretty stinkin' cute pair of Adidas sandals. She thought it was so weird she could see her toes! Maybe people won't notice her stuffed animal of choice (the mouse) if she's dressed well?

Happy Birthday Sara!

Our good friend Sara had a birthday yesterday, welcome to the Quarter Century Club! Don't you feel so much older and wiser? Sara married Nate's friend Chris and they're one of our absolute favorite couples to go and do things with! We wish they lived closer, but love it when they're in town to visit. She's such a great friend and I'm so glad that I have her! Happy Birthday Sara!! We hope you had a great day!

Trina's 50TH Birthday!

My best friend Sara's mom turned 50 this past week. To celebrate Sara and her sister-in-law Amanda planned a SURPRISE birthday party for her. As you can tell from the picture above, she was REALLY surprised!! So she wouldn't be tipped off, they had it at SkateLand in Twin ... it was so much fun! The kids had a blast skating!
