Camping Adventure!

This weekend we decided to head for the hills and sneak in one last camping trip for the year! We packed up with Jared, Ashley and Kenzie and had a great weekend!

As things would have it, our weekend was a little more eventful than we had anticipated! The guys headed up several hours before us to get camp all set up and we were lucky enough to get a flat tire on our way up! Seriously! Luckily enough, we had cell service and the guys were only 15 minutes away and swooped in to fix it!

Hard at work! I guess at least the spare was okay! We sure were glad when we finally made it to camp!

The next day we hiked towards Independence Lakes. We didn't make it too far with the kids, but it was still fun!

Rarely do I let Jackobi just 'have at it' when it comes to getting dirty, but I guess if there's a time for it -- camping is that time! She had a blast! Look at that dirty little face?

We had a great trip and the weather was actually really nice (considering it's almost October! burr!!) The fall colors were beautiful and it was nice to be the only campers around! We just might have to make it a yearly tradition!

My Little Artist ....

Today Jackobi rushed into the other room to find me with an orange marker in hand.
I took the marker, thinking I was lucky she didn't go too far with it, until I asked if she drew a picture. She told me "YEAH!" very excited and proud and pulled me to the wall in the living room to show me her picture. It was so cute and she was so proud (proud enough to pose for a picture, which doesn't happen often!!) Good thing Crayola is washable!!

Happy Birthday Nate!!

Saturday Nate had his 20-something birthday (he told me he's 20-something now... :) ) Since his family was out of town Saturday we celebrated Friday with his family AND Saturday together and with some friends. Lucky guy, 2 days of birthday celebration!

Football Season!!

Football season is in full swing and we've had the chance to go to a couple of my cousin Braxton's games. It's fun to get out and watch some good ol' football! Jackobi does pretty good at the games ... loves the band (more so dancing to the band!) and the cheerleaders. She's pretty cute and when the game gets boring she's good entertainment! Last week Minico played Burley and WON!! All 3 teams -- it's nice to sweep the rivals!

Rocky Mountain Rumble

The last two years we have gone to Pocatello to watch the Rocky Mountain Rumble football games. It's a good excuse for Nate to watch some football and we're able to visit our friends up there!

Jackobi had a blast at the football games! She loved dancing to the band's music and waving her hands at the cheerleaders. It was cute! Although the game left much to be desired (we got 'Smashed' as the paper put it) we had a great day visiting friends, golfing and shopping!

While Nate went golfing with Jason and Chris, I got to go and see my friend Sara and her sweet daughter Addyson. Addy and Jackobi are only 3 months apart so it's fun to watch them play. Even though Jackobi had her grouchy pants on, we had fun. The girls didn't really cooperate for our attempt at a group picture, but I thought it was pretty funny, they're screaming their heads off! haha!! It was good to see Sara too -- she's expecting their 2nd little girl in just a few weeks!

We were also able to stop by Travis & Brooks to see their new house AND new baby boy Bridger! Such a cutie! We all met up with Mari, Giff, Nash, Jason and Preston (Jas and Preston were smart and ditched out before the picture ...) for dinner. It was so good to see everyone. We had a great day in Pocatello!

Maybree's FIRST Birthday!!

A group of us girls get together every Wednesday with our kiddo's to swim @ Laura's. Jackobi and I really look forward to our Wednesday play date!! It's fun to watch our kids interact with each other and Jackobi has learned what it means when I tell her we're going to swim with Peyton and her mommy. She gets SO excited! I love it! I'm so glad Laura started our little Wednesday play date! I'm pretty sure I look forward to it as much, if not more than Jackobi!

This week was Maybree's FIRST birthday, so we had to celebrate!!
Pool Party for your first birthday, doesn't get much funner than that! Laura made yummy cupcakes to celebrate!! (and took pictures! Thanks for letting me snag them!)

19 Month Favorites!!

Jackobi is 19 months old today!! Here are some of her favorite things!

Favorite Books: Sesame Street at the Zoo, That's Not my Puppy, Little Ladybug, Bedtime Peekaboo

Favorite Songs: Popcorn Popping, The Wheels on the Bus (she likes to do the swish, swish, swish of the wipers!), 5 Little Monkeys & The Itsy Bitsy Spider ... she likes songs with actions!

Favorite Activities: COLORING!! She does it almost everyday! Puzzles, Swimming and being chased! She will run around the couch FOREVER if you pretend your chasing her! (or is she chases you!)

Favorite Movie: Madagascar 2 -- just for the 'I Like to Move It' song ... she likes to dance to it, but gets mad if you start the movie (the song stops). Actual movie to watch, Beauty and the Beast.

Favorite Cartoon: Sesame Street!

Favorite Foods: Broccoli, Grapes, Rice & Veggies, French Fries

Color in the Color Box: ORANGE! She picks it everytime!

Jackobi is such a blessing in our lives! Not a day goes by that we don't laugh and smile at our silly little girl! We're so grateful for her & her fun little personality!

Storybook Park with Mya!

Sara and her little girl Mya were passing thru Burley so we decided to meet up for lunch at Storybook Park! It's so fun to watch the girls play together! Mya says: "Baby Jackobi is my best friend" - - I love that she calls her Baby Jackobi! Funny!

BoaTiNG FuN !!

Today Nate, Jackobi and I went boating with our friends Logan, Heather and their 3 cute boys, Kyler, Case and Carter. We had so much fun!!

Nate hadn't been on a wake board in over 7 YEARS, but decided to give it a shot today and did surprisingly well! He had a lot of fun!!

And Jackobi LOVED watching her daddy out in the water! She kept waving and blowing him kisses! You can tell she has a pretty big grin on her face!

Heather's boys -- Kyler and Case, they're SO FUNNY! Total brother love here! Case kept trying to dodge my camera, but I tricked him into this shot!

And.... I'm pretty sure Carter is Jackobi's future boyfriend. Mom's get to pick, don't they!??! They were pretty cute together today! I'm sure they'll stir up their fair share of mischief together!

We had so much fun today!! Thanks Logan & Heather for inviting us!! We'll have to do it again!!

Sleepy Girl ...

Jackobi isn't one to fall asleep on her own very good. The other day, she was SO TIRED, but wouldn't let me lay her down for a nap. So while I was making her some lunch, I resorted to a good ol' DVR'd Tigger & Pooh episode and snuggled her up in the chair. Not even 5 minutes later she was sound asleep ... I thought it was pretty cute how she has her arm around Tigger, like they're pals!
