This past week (on the 11th) my sweet Emaiya turned FOUR YEARS OLD!! I can't even believe she's FOUR! She is one of the sweetest little girls and is so good when she plays with Jackobi! She's like her big sister! :) Since she moved to Boise we don't get to see her that much, but can't wait until the end of the month when we get to go and visit!
We love you Mya and hope you had a WONDERFUL birthday!
This is my LAST post from our Vegas trip, but I had to blog about the 2nd half of our trip! One of my FAVORITE places on the strip is the Botanical Gardens in the Bellagio casino. When we walked into the gardens the smell of fresh flowers was so amazing! It made me realize just how much I'm ready for SPRING!! Jackobi loved all of the bright colors too! They had some really cool displays ... I just love it there!
While we were in Vegas we couldn't deprive Jackobi of a trip to FAO Schwartz ... this is the toy stores of ALL toy stores!
This is us outside of the store, it's a gigantic trojan horse, pretty cool, huh! When we got inside, Jackobi was in TOY HEAVEN! She literally was running from shelf to shelf, so many toys ... she didn't know what to do!
I take that back, she knew just what to do ... she ripped them off the shelves like a pro!
Jackobi without hesitation would run towards the stuffed puppies, they are by far her favorite! Usually the light yellow ones, hmm... I bet you can guess why! This is her with Clifford ... he was pretty heavy for her to carry so she decided she would just lay on him!
Happy Birthday Bubba! You have officially been able to buy lottery tickets for a whole year now and have yet to share any winnings ... You always keep the mood light and we love it when you swing by to visit. You're such a good Uncle to Jackobi, she loves you! (especially since you didn't buy her a DUKE binky!) We hope you had a great birthday!
Sara and David TOTALLY surprised us and got us tickets to the Blueman Group. It was AWESOME!! They took Jackobi during the show and spoiled her while mom and I went to the show. I didn't know what to expect at all, but it was great! Afterwards you could meet the bluemen and the band. The bluemen were still in character and were so serious ... it was kinda creepy! :) Thanks Sara and David for a great night! It was a great surprise and we had a BLAST! (even though you introduced Jack.s to caffeinated soda!)
Coca Cola was another place we had to stop by! We really wanted a picture with the polar bear statue, but they got rid of it! They replaced it with a person in a polar bear costume ... it totally freaked Jackobi out, so no Coca-Cola bear photos for us!! After a few close calls with glass bottles ... we decided the Coke store wasn't quite for us! Jack.s did love the red bottles ... and polar bear stuffed toys, but it's DEFINITELY NOT a baby proof store!
Jackobi and I are down visitng my sister right now and I told Nate I would be sure to post lots of pictures so here is my disclaimer right off the bat! Above is my sister's casa, nice huh! This is where we stayed ... it was so nice and home-like! Thanks for letting us crash sis!
After Sara came and got us from the airport she took us to this cute little restaurant called Panera. Panera = YUMMY! It was so good!
They had these smoothies with gigantic straws that Jackobi LOVED! I wasn't quick enough to get a picture before she accidentally dropped it on the floor :(
We're having such a great time already and can't wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store! (hopefully some more warm weather! Enjoy the snow Nate!)
This post is ESPECIALLY for Nate since I know he has a GREAT LOVE for pickles!! :) (sense the DEFINITE sarcasm!) I just gave Jackobi a taste of this pickle and she would NOT let me have it back ...
So today was an exciting day! My mom, Jackobi and I headed to Las Vegas to visit my sister. We flew out of Idaho Falls to Vegas and let me tell you what, I have a total new respect for people who travel with babies! It's hard work! Strollers and car seats ... I swear we were the annoying people who take forever to get through security!! But it was great, the airline was great and Jackobi did so good on the airplane! You could tell that she knew when we took off and landed that something was going on, but did so good!
She was so tired, but the plane ride was too exciting to sleep! She actually fell asleep once we landed and were waiting to unload ... funny girl! All in all, great experience! Hope she does just as good on the way home!
Last night we gave Jackobi her VERY FIRST bubble bath. It was fun! She never could quite figure out the bubbles and just stared at them and would hesitantly touch and grab them, but I don't thing she decided if she liked them or not.
She learned pretty quickly, that bubbles do NOT taste good ... but she did try them a few times! (I wish she'd try some of her foods that well!) I think she must have thought the bubbles were soap because she would rub them on her tummy as if she were washing it. She did the same thing with her hair, such good hygiene! :) She did thinkit was quite hilarious when I would hide one of her little fishies under a mound of bubbles though. Funny girl! I guess we'll have to try again and see if she likes it better the second go around!
Jackobi is such a lucky little girl! Her Aunt Camille sent her seriously the cutest piggy bank I've EVER seen! She loved it so much that when I took it from her to put on her dresser she cried. :)
We already taught her how to put her money in! She loves to hear it 'jingle' ... after a couple tries she could actually get the money in the slot by herself!
Uh oh ... she's her mothers daughter! She's already trying to figure out how to get her coins out! Good thing the little plug in the bottom is pretty snug!
Thanks for the adorable piggy bank Aunt Camille! Jackobi loves it! (Even thought we do make her keep it on her dresser now :)
Jackobi LOVES her uncles!! This week Casey came over and Jackobi would NOT leave him alone. It was pretty cute. I had to post a couple pictures ... she's so funny. Right after this, she literally stole his pillow. That's right, she lifted up his head, and snuck hers in ... too funny! Teach him to 'steal' her pillow!
So, I couldn't think of anything for the title ... so Friday the 13th it is! I think it's so funny how some people get totally superstitious about this day ... not me though! Our Friday the 13th was great (maybe because I wore black ... isn't that supposed to get you good luck??)
We took Jackobi in for some ONE YEAR pictures today ... for those of you who know Jackobi, she's pretty shy. And today was NO EXCEPTION! I'm not even sure if we got ONE with a smile! She wasn't having it! I'm supposed to get my proofs on Monday, so if she's in a good mood we might venture to the studio and snap a few more! Wish us luck!
Then we went to Minico's last home wrestling match of the season. It was Senior night, so Kegan got to do the little parade with his mom. It's so crazy to think I babysat this boy when he was just a baby! (Man, I feel OLD saying that!!)
It was great, he won both matches. Pinned his first guy and by points in OVERTIME for the second. It was a really intense match to watch!
Our good friends Chris and Sara were in town so came over and spent the night with us! They brought over some yummy Guadalajara Mexican food and we all just hung out. Jackobi officially decided that she love them and it was so cute to see her play with them. It's so good to have such great friends!
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience. Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006
