T-Ball

Kenzie just wrapped up her summer of T-ball and luckily we were able to make it to her last game! The top picture is of her pitching, so serious! She did a really good job though! I can't wait until Jackobi is old enough to do fun things like this! (although, maybe I can! she's growing up pretty fast...)

Tired Out ...

The other night we were at Casey's baseball game and Jackobi was worn out!!
Totally not interested in the game ... :)

Happy Father's Day!

Nate is such a wonderful dad to Jackobi ... she loves him so much!! She lights up when he comes home from work and he can make her grin from ear to ear like no one else can!! He helps me with her so much (even though stinky diapers aren't included :) )

Thank you Nate for being an amazing husband and father to Jackobi!

For Father's Day we got Nate a new BBQ.R ... little does he know, it's for me too -- now he can grill his own dinner! Doesn't get much better than that!

Happy Birthday Ramon

Happy Birthday Ramon!! We hope you had a great birthday!
We appreciate the great example you are to us and are thankful for all you do for us!

Ramon's birthday was Tuesday and it was a busy afternoon! Casey had a double-header that night so we snuck out between games for a quick cake run and to open some presents! Good thing they live pretty close to the ball park! Jackobi wasn't too interested in helping unwrap gifts, but she sure does love to rip off the bows!

Fun Friday!!

Yesterday was a fun and very busy day for us!! Jackobi and I met up with Heather and her daughter Lux at Storybook Park ... I love it there! And so do the girls ... they have so much fun (even though Jacks is wearing her sassy pants in this picture!!) There's lots of toys there just their size and they really interact well with eachother.

Little did we know, they were giving away free lunch to the children there so it was PACKED!! Seriously, say 'free' anything in Rupert and everyone comes running!! We had a lot of fun even thought I can't stand it when parents let their children run around like maniacs and are no where in sight to monitor/referee or anything what so ever (especially when they kick and hit my daughter and her friend, who are only one)!! That's all I have to say about that ... don't even get me started! (grr...)

Later that afternoon it was such a nice day we decided to see if Jackobi still liked her little kiddie pool (since the regular pool has NOT been a hit) and she DID!!! I'm not convinced she liked it better than trying to drink out of the hose, but she loved to splash in it!

I'm so glad it's summertime! There is so much to do and Jackobi LOVES it outside!!

Hopefully we'll have more sunny, HOT days in our future ... because only in little Rupert Idaho can we play in the pool at 3:00 and by 5:00 the skies look like this:

it's been cold and gloomy since ... SUNSHINE COME BACK!!

Family Dinner!

Saturday the Rupert Elks had a fundraiser dinner my mom's side of the family all went to. It was pretty fun! The food was great and they had some fun games and door prizes. My mom won the a fishing pole, kinda fun! Jackobi was pretty darn entertained by it!! It was great to get together with my mom.s side of the family, we don't get to very often!

CoLoRinG ...

A couple weeks ago I bought Jackobi some cute little 'Crayola Beginners' marker stamps, we tried them out today! They're pretty cute -- they made little stamps of chickens, horses and cows (which Jackobi loves!!) she really liked them for a few minutes, but they weren't as satisfying as good ol' markers! Good thing they're washable!! She had lots of fun ... and we discovered that her favorite color to draw with (for today at least) is ORANGE good thing it matched her shirt (or maybe she's just really good at color coordinating??) She ended up with some pretty decent artwork! But I guess I am her mom ... of course I think that!

happy birthday sweet sister!

Happy Birthday Sara!! My darling sister has a birthday and I am so sad that I'm not there to celebrate with sparklers and laying pool side with yummy moose tracks ice cream! My sweet, spunky ... adventurous, Gucci loving sister ... I love you and hope you have a great day!

Mud Puddles!

Jackobi naturally gravitates towards anything that will get her dirty or messy .... with all the rain we've had lately there have been lots of mud puddles! We're usually pretty quick to snatch her up before she can play in them, but she got to this one before we knew what happened! She actually slipped and fell, hence the mud covering her body!

My FIRST Auction ....

Well, to be fair ... the wasn't exactly my first auction. As a little girl I LOVED to tag along with my dad when he went to the sale for cows. BUT ... this was my first auction as a BIDDER! That's right! Making my dad proud ... got my own bidder number and everything!
It wasn't quite the auctions my dad goes to, but it was fun! I definitely got 'bidder' fever and ended up with quite a bit! What did I end up with?? TREES! and lots of them! (much to Nate's dismay! I'm pretty sure it's the last time he'll send me to an auction by myself!!)

We brought home 20 trees and 20 bushes ... which sounds like a TON, but when you've got 2 acres to fill -- it's really not that many!

Nate and Bubba have them all planted (with the exception of a few bushes that I'm not quite sure where I want them) and it's so nice to have some trees!!

The Quaking Aspens I got were HUGE and we actually needed a tractor to load/unload them and plant them! Thankfully my dad helped us haul them and our good neighbor Kyle let us use his tractor. It was quite a task!!

I'm excited for our yard!! It's been lots of work and is not even close to being done, but is fun to see it progress!! We've had so much help from our family and friends ... it's so nice to have their support and help even when it's not exactly the funnest job!!

God's Promise ...

After a week of rain, we've had a lot of rainbows out our backdoor.

I love rainbows and the meaning behind them ...

I heart Summer Barbecues!

We had a family barbecue last weekend and it was so fun! The kids love playing together outside so much! They were even lucky enough to get a 4-wheeler ride!

My cousin Cody and I were inseparable as kids. When he'd come to visit we'd barricade ourselves in the bathroom with toys so he wouldn't have to leave! His little girl McKenzie is 3 and it's fun to watch her play with Jackobi! They had lots of fun!

Jackobi and AnnaLeigh are so funny together! We tried to get a cute picture, but getting 2 one year olds to look and smile at the same time is a challange!! They turned out cute though!

I love summertime and can't wait until it decides to warm up (and not rain!) for good!

Sara.s Birthday!

Sara is probably one of the sweetest, non-judgmental people I know. Happy Birthday Sara! I'm so glad we're friends!!

Trip to the Mountains!

A few weekends ago we took a drive to the mountains to see how much snow was still there. Nate's going camping and we wanted to make sure they didn't get froze out! There was still some snow and the road to the top was closed, but there was a pretty meadow with some flowers in it -- we had to stop and enjoy some fresh mountain air!!

Jackobi absolutely loved the flowers!! We let her pick a couple and she held on to them with a death grip the entire way home! We've now had to teach her why she can't 'pick' the flowers out of the fake flower arrangements in the house!

I love the summertime! I can't wait until we can take Jackobi on a real camping trip in the mountains!
