Any basketball fan knows the HUGE rivalry between North Carolina and Duke. And although the college campuses are only 7 miles apart, the rivalry is one of the largest in College Basketball.
Ironically enough, we've developed our own little cross street rivalry.
We bleed baby blue at our house and just yards away, the Duncan's are die hard Duke.
In light of the March Madness that's going on, Laura and I thought it'd be fun to get our girls all dressed up in the UNC and Duke gear for a day. They looked so cute!! And Jackobi quite enjoyed prancing around in her little dress all day. We gave them little treats to try and get them to sit still together ... and I got to witness Peyton's FIRST sucker experience! Oh the delight! Sorry Laura, I'm pretty sure I sent her home VERY sticky! What a fun day, with fun friends!
Well, I must admit, I've thought of several Duke jabs as I've written this blog, but who am I kidding? They have a legitimate shot at the title this year ... and where is UNC? Playing for the championship in NIT (yep, the best of the teams the weren't good enough for March Madness ...) Well, we'll be cheering them on anyhow from the Christainsen house!

So cute!!! I was just going to blog this seriously great event and decided to see what you had to say about it first. That was fun, so thanks again and thanks for the introduction to a sticky, yet great treat for little kids.
That is just too funny. That first pic definitely looks like a couple of rival cheerleaders at a big game staring each other down.
